SQUID in the UK - est. 2015
Founded in the US by Portable Therapeutix, LLC in 2013, SQUID was designed as a drug-free solution to pain. (Developed in Boston, the earliest versions of SQUID were field tested and fine tuned with the cooperation of the varsity sports teams at Harvard University.) The portable device was designed for a 15 minute therapy time, utilising proprietary gel packs and sequential compression technology - wraps, with unique air bladders that inflate and deflate depending upon the level of compression chosen - driving cold deep into muscles and ligaments, decreasing swelling and promoting venous blood return.Â
SQUID Compression arrived in the UK in 2015, being distributed from the Cardiff area. The response was very positive, and SQUID quickly established a small yet loyal following with physiotherapists, team trainers and coaches, as well as a wide range of athletes - from "weekend warriors" to World Champions, Olympians, as well as aspiring Champions.Â
Since late 2024, a new UK distributor, TBMD Consultancy Ltd., has taken over, and we are increasing the awareness of SQUID GO throughout the UK. We offer people seeking a premium quality cold sequential compression device, a very affordable option to own a wellness solution, versus hiring an ice and water based machine for a short period of time. At a similar cost.
Our commitment is to provide unrivalled value and Customer focus, in your ongoing pursuit of wellness, improved Quality of Life (QOL) and personal health. Exciting times, with more to follow. Reach out to info@squidgo.co.uk with any questions.Â
